Yes. GradeMapAI is completely free during early access — no trials, no card details. Features that are free during early access will stay free. Future paid tiers will only add new things.

GCSE and A-Level subjects across the main UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge, Eduqas), covering core subjects like Maths, English, the Sciences, and more. During early access the subject catalogue is still growing — if a subject is missing, tell us.

It's built for students in Years 6–13, roughly ages 10–18. Right now it's intended for students aged 13 and over: under-13 access will require an account created and linked by a parent, with consent recorded first, and that gate ships with the 2.0 safety core. If you're a parent of a younger child and want to be told when it opens, email us and we'll let you know.

Yes, it can — and you should treat it that way. AIRA is a helpful study companion, not an authority. Always verify grades advice, entry requirements and exam details against official sources: UCAS, your exam board's website, and gov.uk.

Here's the honest version. Active now: every message is screened before it reaches the AI — messages that are too long, or that contain personal contact details such as a phone number or email address, are blocked. Conversations are stored so they can be reviewed for safety. That's basic protection, and we don't dress it up as content moderation.

Still being built: the deeper safeguarding layer — a safety-event log, broader content checks, and notifying a linked parent when something serious is flagged. Those ship with the 2.0 safety core, and we'll say so here when they're live. We won't claim a safeguard is protecting your child before it exists.

Only what's needed to run the service. Your conversations are processed by our AI providers under contract, with the minimum data necessary. We never sell data, and there are no ad networks anywhere in the product. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the danger zone in settings, or by emailing us. Parents can request deletion of their child's data too. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Link your account to your child's and you can follow their progress, ask for a copy of their data, and request deletion. Safeguarding notifications to linked parents ship with the 2.0 safety core. There is no self-service flow yet — during early access, email us and we'll set the link up by hand.

The roadmap in order: voice-first sessions (talk to AIRA), career paths with live entry requirements, resit support, an essay marker, and the parent cockpit. All of it will be announced here — and free features stay free.

Two things: safety and careers. We treat safety as part of the build rather than an afterthought — we tell you exactly what's active today and what's still coming, instead of claiming protections we haven't shipped. And revision is linked to real career destinations, so every session connects to where your child wants to go. Most revision tools do neither.
