Terms of Service

GradeMapAI is an AI-assisted education service for GCSE and A-Level students, currently in early access. It supports revision and learning; it does not replace school, teachers, or official advice about exams, qualifications or applications.

If you are 13 or older, you can register your own account. GradeMapAI is currently intended for students aged 13 and over. Use by under-13s will require an account created and linked by a parent or guardian, with parental consent recorded before we process their data; that gate is part of the safety work described below and ships with the 2.0 safety core. GradeMapAI is a UK service and is intended for use in the UK.

You agree to provide accurate information when you register, and to keep it up to date. Parents can link their account to their child's account: a linked parent can view progress, request a copy of the child's data, and request deletion of the account. Safeguarding notices to linked parents ship with the 2.0 safety core, not before. If you are a parent and believe your child has an account that should be linked to you, contact us.

• Don't abuse the service or other users.
• Don't attempt to bypass, defeat, or disable the safeguarding systems. They exist to protect the people using this product.
• Don't misuse the AI to generate harmful, deceptive, or infringing content, or to misrepresent its output as official advice.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the platform.

You understand and agree that messages you send are screened before they reach the AI, and that conversations are stored so they can be reviewed for safety. Today that screening covers message length and personal contact details. The deeper safeguarding layer — a safety-event log, broader content checks, and notifying a linked parent when something serious is flagged — is being built and ships with the 2.0 safety core. We will keep this page current as it goes live, and we will not describe a safeguard as active before it is.

This screening is a disclosed part of the service: it is not hidden, it cannot be turned off, and attempting to bypass, defeat or disable it is a breach of these terms.

AI can make mistakes. Grades advice, entry requirements, and exam information generated by GradeMapAI must be verified against official sources such as UCAS, your exam board, and gov.uk before you rely on them. GradeMapAI provides no guarantees of particular grades, offers, or outcomes, and no output of the AI should be treated as formal advice.

Your content stays yours: the messages, uploads and data you create. You grant us a licence to use it to run and improve the service — for example, to process your conversations and learn from usage patterns. Our content — the product, the design, AIRA and the tutors — belongs to us and may not be copied or resold.

GradeMapAI is free during early access. When paid tiers are introduced we will give you notice before anything changes. Our pledge stands: features that are free today will stay free.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights as a UK consumer, including your statutory rights. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for outcomes that depend on verification of AI output — grades, offers, or decisions made from unverified information — nor for losses that result from use of a service we have clearly marked as early access.

You can stop using GradeMapAI and delete your account at any time from settings, or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms — in particular attempts to defeat the safeguarding systems.

If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and give you notice — in the product or by email — before material changes take effect. Material changes to safeguarding will be clearly explained.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
